Where to find coupons

There are many great places to find coupons.  There are coupons in almost every Sunday paper(none on holiday weekends!) as well as some in the Thursday paper. The flyers for stores that come in the Sunday paper also may have store coupons in them. There are printable coupons all over the internet. Including on many brands Facebook pages, store websites, coupon websites, and manufacturer's websites.  One of the newest things is coupons on your cell phone!  Not all places are doing this but a few places are! There are also coupons on eBay up for auction if you need extra of your favorite coupon.  There are also coupon clipping services if your looking for extras of a specific coupon. If you look hard enough there really are coupons EVERYWHERE!! In this post I am going to share the places that I get my coupons from.

First and foremost the Sunday paper.  Its one of my favorite days of the week now.  I love waking up and waiting for the paper to come so that I can see what new coupons are available! I get the Lawrence Eagle Tribune delivered to our house so that I never miss out.  I used to only get the paper from the store but there were a few Sundays where a store trip did not happen and I was out of new coupons for the week.  So its always best to get it delivered in case life gets in the way!  Not to mention I only pay .99cents a week to have it delivered and at the store it is $2.50 so right there im saving myself some money! Many avid couponers get a few different papers delivered to their house. I myself am toying with that idea, however currently I get other papers at the store on an as needed basis.  It is important to remember that you may have three or four different papers available in your region and there may not be the same coupons in each!

Its the age of technology so there are many coupons available for print from online sources! If there is a brand of product that you like head over to their Facebook page, you might just score a coupon.  If no coupon is available at the time make sure you "like" their page so that way you will be notified if a giveaway or a new coupon becomes available! Also check the manufacturers web site to see if they are offering any coupons.  Most stores now have coupons that are good in their stores only so make sure you check out your stores web site before heading out to do your shopping!

One of the best online resources for coupons are coupon sites.  They are websites that offer multiple coupons all in one place! Here are the links to the ones I use...

These sites offer a limited number of prints for each coupon that is released so make sure you check often as hot coupons tend to go very fast!  There is generally a limit of two prints per computer, though sometimes  it is only one print per computer.  The coupons reset at the beginning of each month so be sure to pay attention each month when new coupons are released!

Another place to find coupons is to get them delivered right to your cell phone!  Target recently started doing this.  You sign up and every so often you get a text and when you open the message it displays in  your phones web browser (you must have an internet capable phone!) and the cashier can scan the barcode that displays on your cell phone screen!  In my area Target is the only store that has such a program thus far.  Hopefully other stores will follow with their own versions of this in the near future.

Ebay and coupon clipping sites are a good way to get extras of certain coupons without buying 20 copies of the local paper!  I find that on eBay you can sometimes score a lot more coupons for cheaper than you can on clipping services, but it really all depends on how hot the coupon is and how many you need/want, and whether or not you are patient enough to bid rather than just purchase now. Either option is a good way to get extras that you can't find for free! I only use one clipping service when I choose to use them www.coupondede.com. There are two others that I have heard good things about www.thecouponmaster.com and www.thecouponclippers.com.  When I decide I am going to try and win coupons via eBay I decide ahead of time what I would be willing to spend for the amount of coupons im looking for and I stick to that amount.  Its very easy to get caught up in the action and end up paying alot for coupons which in the end wont save you much at the cash register!  Generally I like to stay under $2 for 20 coupons.  Make sure you pay attention to expiration dates, shipping costs and how long the seller generally takes to get you your coupons. You don't want to end up with coupons after a sale has passed or get stuck paying for expired coupons! Also check a seller's feedback to see if they have been good to other customers in the past!

As your walking through the supermarket or drug store make sure your on the lookout for peelie coupons (coupons attached to merchandise) as well as for the coupon dispensers that many stores have in the aisles. These are a great way to get FREE coupons!  And really who doesn't love stuff for free?!?

Eventually you will know where in your area is the best place to look for and find coupons.
