Market Basket coupon policy

This was the first store I ever used a coupon at when I first started a few years back! I have never had a problem with any of the cashier's being put out to ring all my coupons through, which is awesome because some can get a little bit rude when people have a lot of coupons!

This is by far the toughest store to write about when it comes to coupon policies.  Unfortunately they do not have a company wide coupon policy, therefore each store is allowed to make their policies themselves.  This means that there is variation depending on which store you visit.  It makes it a little hard to know for sure whether or not your coupon will be accepted or not. However, I say try because the worst that they can say is no!

The one thing that is company wide is that they DO NOT double coupons.  For the rest of the information I am going to reveal what I have learned about my local Market Basket on Plaistow Rd in Plaistow, NH.  They take one manufacturer's coupon per item, I have never seen any store coupons so therefore there is no opportunity to "stack" coupons here.  They take printable coupons from the internet, even ones for free product (which Shaw's does not).  They also have a section near the courtesy booth right before the egg section that has a ton of free manufacturer's coupons for you to take!  This is by far my favorite part of shopping at Market Basket!  Sometimes if a cashier is unsure of a printable coupon they will ask one of the  managers, however I have never been denied using a coupon before!  One of the manager's really likes to please the customers so he always says yes, at least in my experience!

It might be worth you taking a few minutes to stop at your store's courtesy booth to inquire about which coupons they take and which ones they do not!
