Coupon Organization Continued!

So I had a request for some more information regarding how I organize my coupons. Well we already know I have them in a binder using various baseball card and money holders!  But I have it a lot more organized than that!!  (This is for you Mrs. Ballam!)

I have it broken down into 9 categories.  Each are separated by a divider.  I do not have my dividers listed but that is only because I do not want to have to get a whole new set if I decide to change the order!  I will list what they are, keep in mind this list is in the order that they appear in my binder!  First is beverages, diary products/meats, breakfast items, condiments/meal prep items, frozen foods, snacks/crackers/fruits, cleaning products/paper products, health and beauty/medicine/personal care, and last but certainly not least I have a full section devoted to store coupons!! I find this separation works for me but its really one of those things that you can personalize so it fits the way you think!

When I go through my binder to add new coupons each week I make sure I get rid of any expired coupons in order to keep everything current.  This process also helps me to see which coupons are expiring soon and I can decide if it's something I need to get even though there is no sale for that product.

I try to keep like items near each other in the sections that way its easier to find coupons when I am flipping through.  I put all of my 9 opening sheets grouped together before the 4 opening sheets; not sure why I started to do it this way but it works for me! I also make sure that my store coupons are separated by store that way I never miss out on a store coupon!

If your coupons aren't organized well and you are hanging onto a bunch of expired coupons you may not end up with the best deal! Try a few different ways and see what you prefer!  And once you find something that works you will be amazed at how easy it is to keep it organized!

HAPPY ORGANIZING!!!!
